چکیده

Positioning or Localization, that is, determining the location of every sensor is important and the process aims to have the maximum percentage of localized nodes whether stationary or in motion. This paper elaborates the idea of mining applications in the underwater scenario and also highlights the basic differences between terrestrial sensor networks with the underwater paradigm while exploring the different positioning approaches that are relevant to underwater sensor networks as well as the challenges in meeting the requirements posed by emerging applications. We propose a new algorithm which uses the (mining counter-measure) MCM applications through of an UUV-guided positioning system in an UW-ASN. Also, we have compared with the other related work previous done on this very same field and we have proved that our work yields better results than the previous work done and the performance analysis through various MATLAB simulations have been shown. Key Terms: Underwater Wireless Acoustic Sensor Networks (UW-ASNs); Acoustic Communication; Terrestrial Wireless Sensor Networks (TWSNs); Radio Frequency (RF); Localization; Anchor Node; UA (Underwater Acoustic) Node; Surface Buoy; MCM Full Text: http://www.ijcsmc.com/docs/papers/June2013/V2I6201308.pdf

3D Path Planning Algorithm for Mobile Anchor-Assisted Positioning in Wireless Sensor Networks

Positioning service is one of Wireless Sensor Networks’ (WSNs) fundamental services. The accurate position of the sensor nodes plays a vital role in many applications of WSNs. In this paper, a 3D positioning algorithm is being proposed, using mobile anchor node to assist sensor nodes in order to estimate their positions in a 3D geospatial environment. However, mobile anchor node’s 3D path optim...

Poster Abstract: An Underwater Positioning Scheme for 3D Acoustic Sensor Networks

We transform the 3D underwater positioning problem into its 2D counterpart via a projection technique that employs depth information available to underwater sensors. After showing that a non-degenerative projection preserves network localizability, we present a purely distributed localization scheme termed USP for underwater acoustic sensor networks. In USP, reference nodes are projected to the...

Energy Efficiency and Reliability in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks Using Cuckoo Optimizer Algorithm

Energy efficiency and reliability are widely understood to be one of the dominant considerations for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs). In this paper, in order to maintain energy efficiency and reliability in a UWSN, Cuckoo Optimization Algorithm (COA) is adopted that is a combination of three techniques of geo-routing, multi-path routing, and Duty-Cycle mechanism. In the proposed alg...

A Secure Routing Algorithm for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks

Recently, underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) attracted the interest of many researchers and the past three decades have held the rapid progress of underwater acoustic communication. One of the major problems in UWSNs is how to transfer data from the mobile node to the base stations and choosing the optimized route for data transmission. Secure routing in UWSNs is necessary for packet d...
